A.2 STAR-Link™ EXCEL 97 EXAMPLE
This is a simple example of configuration and data collection based on STAR-Link™
ActiveX.
A VBA macro uses OpenNetwork, CloseNetwork, Network Status methods, Device
DataWrite method, DataEvent and ErrorEvent exported by STAR-Link™ ActiveX
(see pars. 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 7.2 ).
To open the Excel sheet implementing the example click on the "Enable Macros"
button of the opening dialog box. Then, the following window appears:

On the left side there is a database consisting of three columns reporting data
information from frames (by collecting more than one thousand packets the list will be
reset):
− DevID column: lists the device identification number;
− Data column: lists the data packet
− Type column: shows if transaction is 1way or 2 ways.
