1 Quick Start

This section is designed to get your POWERSCAN D8590 up and running quickly so you
can get a sense of its capabilities and test sample symbols. Detailed setup information for
configuring the imager for your specific application can be obtained in the subsequent
sections.
Your interface type will determine how data is r
eceived by your host. When
sending data by
USB, you must open a text editor in your host computer. When sending data serially, you
must use a terminal program such as HyperTerminal or ESP ’s Terminal view (RS-232 only).
