C.3 HOST COMPUTER COMMANDS
Using a serial line you can handle the data stored in a Formula terminal directly from
the host computer.
The data handling commands are sent to the Formula terminal as groups of
characters having the character <ESC> (ASCII 1B
16
) at the beginning and end. The
general command format is the following:
Command type: represents the instruction to perform and can take the values
described below:
0 Download data
1 Delete
2 Send record
5 Enquiry
8 Terminal information
B Start application
F File field structure
R File structure
S Serial programming
Z Clock tasks
Command data: this command data takes alphanumeric values according to the
instruction that you send to the terminal.
