There are three ways to enter information in CPM using a touchscreen: the Keyboard control, the external
OSK, and the internal OSK.
The Keyboard Control displays a graphical keyboard on the screen that can be used for keyboard input
using a touchscreen. The Keyboard control is placed on a control panel and accessed by clicking it when you
want to enter information in a field. For more details see “Keyboard” on page 4-53.
The external OSK is displayed when you select an input field on a control panel. When you press a key, that
field will receive the letter or number.
To enable the external OSK
1. Click the Program Preferences button.
2. Click the radio button for to select the external OSK. The external OSK requires you to install or other-
wise provide a program.
3. In the Program Preferences dialog, check the box labeled "Enable automatic on-screen keyboard."
4. If your text OSK application is in a different folder than the folder shown, enter the path and applica-
tion name in the first field.
5. If your numeric OSK application is in a different folder than the folder shown, enter the path and appli-
cation name in the second field.
To enable the internal OSK
1. Click the Program Preferences button.
2. Click the radio button for to select the internal OSK. The internal OSK does not require any external
programs.
