3.3 RS232 CONNECTION
You can use a cable to directly connect the Elf™ to a host computer to transfer
data through the RS232 interface.

The Single Slot Dock can be connected to the Host by means of a standard null
modem cable such as Datalogic 94A051020 CAB-427 for 9-pin connections.
Once the Host has been turned on, insert the Elf™ mobile computer into the
cradle.

In this case the power supply is only necessary for battery charging. Insert the
power supply plug into the power jack on the base of the cradle and attach the
power supply to a power outlet.
CAUTION
If the mobile computer supports Windows Mobile, before plugging
the RS232 cable you have to check the 'COM1 Enable' option on
the 'System, Configuration' window. (Start -> Programs -> System
Configuration).
