Battery Pack Charging and Maintenance
Seat the reader (with installed Battery Pack) in a powered Base Station as
shown in
Figure 3, ensuring the Battery Pack is fully seated and engages
the station’s metal contacts. The reader will sound a short “chirp” when
good contact is made and the green LED on the Base Station should
flash, indicating the battery is charging. Alternatively, multiple Battery
Packs can be charged external to the reader using an accessory charging
unit available from your Datalogic dealer.
There presently are no US, North America or World disposal require-
ments for Lithium-Ion batteries such as the Battery Pack, so when they
won't hold a charge anymore they can be disposed of; preferably through
a recycling center. Contact your local government for disposal or recy-
cling practices in your area.

NOTE
The Amber LED will blink twice when a barcode is
decoded when the battery is getting low.
