Activity 1 (1, 2, 3, 4 keys, Spacing and Hard Return)
To build number keyboarding skills, syllabize numbers - that is, key them in groups. For
example, when entering the numbers 1234, do not read them as one, two, three, four--read
them as twelve, thirty-four. When number groups reach 5 or more digits, read them in
patterns of two, three, two, three, etc.
Key the drill line that follows at least three times. Each time you key a line, try to increase
your speed. Be sure to space after each number and press the return key at the end of the line.

Key the next three lines; when finished, key them again. Be sure to group the numbers as you
key. The number 11 is not one, one - it's eleven. The number 111 is read as one eleven.
