6 Installation location
Please select a torsion-free, stable mast with a minimum diameter of 60 mm. The location should
fulfil the following requirements in order to ensure the best possible measurement.
 no bend
 no uphill/downhill gradient
 no moving objects (e.g. bushes) in the “line of vision” of the radar
 no reflecting surfaces (e.g. glass front of buildings) within the field of vision of the radar
 no large metal objects (e.g. crash barriers) within the field of vision of the radar
 free “view” of the lane to be measured
The DSD must be aligned laterally in such a way that it is as parallel as possible to the road
surface.
