Shouldyouneedtore‐installthedrivertofixaproblem,werecommendyou
downloadthelatestversionofthedriverfromhttp://www.datacard.com.
SelectSupport&Drivers>Drivers&Downloadfromthemenu.Enteryour
printermodelintheEnterProductNameorNumberare a,andclickGo.
• Cardproductionsoftware
Cardproductionsoftwareformatsthetypesofdatausedtoprintcards.Make
surethatthecardproductionsoftwarefeaturesimplementedworkwiththe
printeryouhave.
Ifyoudonotusecardproductionsoftware,makesurethatthesoftwareyou
usesupportstherequirementsforcreatingcards.Ifyouusemagneticstripe
data,useanapplicationthatsavestextastextandnotasagraphic.(For
example,MSPaintonlysavesgraphicdata,whilePhotoshopsavesboth
graphicandtextdata.)Fontsandescapesrequirethattextbesentfromthe
applicationastext.

Cardproductionsoftwaremightrequireaprinterplug‐in,whichtakesthe
datainthecardproductionsoftwareandmakesitavailableintheformthe
drivercanuse.
• Othercomponentsofthesystem
AnIDorbadgesystemusuallyincludesacameratotakephotos,andmay
includeothercapturedevicesforbiometricdata.Usingandmaintainingthese
componentsisimportanttothequalityofcardsyouproduce.
