Clean the Printhead
Cleantheprintheadwhen:
• Theprintheadisreplaced.
• Thereareunprintedlinesonthefinishedcard.Thisusuallyindicatesdirtor
contaminationontheprinthead.
• Theprintheadistouchedaccidentally.Oilsfromhandscanaf fectprintquality
anddamagetheprinthead.
Dothefollowingtocleantheprinthead:
1. Powerofftheprinter.
2. Opentheprintercoverandremovetheprintribboncartridge.
3. Openthecleaningpen.
4. Usinggentlepressure,movethecleaningpen
backandforthalongthefulllengthofthe
printheadedgeuntilitiscompletelyclean.
5. Replacetheprintribboncartridgeandclosethe
printercover.Avoidbumpingtheprintheadwhen
installingtheprintribboncartridge.
