dClick “Pick Motor test” and then click the Start button.
e Repeat steps b through d until no dirt appears on the cloth.
f Repeat steps a through e, placing the cloth on the second pick roller (step 2 in
Figure 4-7).
g Replace the card cartridge.
6 Clean the transport area rollers:
a Open the cover and remove the print ribbon cartridge.
b Moisten an area of the lint-free cloth with citrus solvent or isopropyl alcohol.
c Place the moist area of the cloth on the first transport roller (step 1 in
Figure 4-8).

dClick “Transport Motor test” and then click the Start button.
e Repeat steps b through d until no dirt appears on the cloth.
f Repeat steps b through e, placing the cloth on the second transport roller
(step 2 in Figure 4-8).
g Repeat steps b through e, placing the cloth on the double rollers (step 3 in
Figure 4-8).
h Replace the printer ribbon cartridge, close the swing arm, and close the cover.
7 If the printer has a duplex module, clean the exit roller.
a Open the duplex cover.
b Moisten an area of the lint-free cloth with citrus solvent or isopropyl alcohol.
c Place the moist area of the cloth on the exit roller (step 1 in Figure 4-8).
dClick “Transport Motor test” and then click the Start button.
e Repeat steps b and c until no dirt appears on the cloth.
f Close the duplex cover.
8 Connect the power cable to the power source and power on the printer.
