PrintersharinginvolvessettingupthehostPCforsharing,theninstallingand
settinguptheCardPrinterDriveroneachclientsystemthatwillprinttothe
printer.
Setting Up the Host PC for Printer Sharing
1. InstalltheXPSCardPrinterDriveronthehostPC.Referto“Installingthe
Driver ”onpa ge 8.
2. FromtheWindowsStartmenu,selectPrintersandFaxes.ThePrinterswindow
displays.
3. WritedowntheprinternameandthehostPCname.
A. InthePrinterswindow,findthenameofthenewlyinstalledcardprinter
andwriteitdown.
B. FindthehostPCnameandwriteitdown.
i. FromtheWindowsStartmenu,right‐clickMyComputerandselect
Properties.
ii. ClickComputerName.ThehostPCnamedisplaysintheFullComputer
Namefield.
iii. WritedownthenameofthehostPC.
iv. ClickOKtoclosetheSystempropertieswindow.
YouneedtheprinternameandhostPCnameforinstallingtheCardPrinterDriver
ontheclientPC.RecordthemandhavethemavailablewhentheclientPCis
