TheCardPrinterDriverusesMicrosoftXPSprinttechnologyto
supportprintingfromcurrentlyavailableapplications.Thischapter
providesataskoverviewofwhattheCardPrinterDriverdoes,and
adescriptionofthecommunicationbetweentheCardPrinter
Driverandthecardprinter.
Supported Operating Systems
ThefollowingoperatingsystemsaresupportedbytheCardPrinterDriver:

TheCardPrinterDriveralsocanbeinstalledonsystemsrunningWindowsVista.

Driver Task Overview
Referto“InstallingtheDriver”onpa ge8forthestepstofollowtoinstallthe
printeranddriver.
Onceinstalled,theCardPrinterDriver:
1. Receivescarddatafromanapplication.
2. Processe s itforpersonalizingacard.
3. Optionally,encryptsdatatransactionswiththeprinterforsecureprinting.
BecausetheCardPrinterDriversupportsmultipleWindowsoperatingsystems,
theproceduresinthisGuideassumeyoucannavigatetotheappropriate
