Using Dial-up Telephone Communication
Chapter Objectives
This chapter helps you set up and initiate dial-up communication.
This chapter pertains to the enhanced PLC-5 processors, SLC
5/03,
5/04, and 5/05 processors, MicroLogix 1100, 1200, and 1500
controllers, and Logix processors.
If you are setting up a dial-up communication system for the first time,
refer to this chapter as well as to chapters 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8.
TIP
A Micrologix 1000 controller may be on the
receiving end of a dial-up modem connection
using an auto-answer phone modem, but it has
no means to cause its modem to initiate or
hang-up a phone modem connection.
