Setup
Factory Configuration Process
At the factory, each remote unit is given an address, which is zero (0) to seven (7). Each unit is then programmed for a
specic number of analog inputs and outputs, which if not specied is an equal number (or as close to) per each remote to
use all 8 available channels.
The channel fail states are default as: Analog -> 4 mA, Discrete -> Off, Alarm -> LED Only
Note: A system will have one Master and 1-8 Remotes.
Operation Requirements
•DC Voltage Connected with 2-pin terminal plug.
•SMA antenna or coax for RF transmission.
•Discrete or Analog input and output devices.
•Terminal block wire (size 12-26 AWG).
Discrete Operation
Requirements
•The outputs of the units cannot directly drive a relay. The digital outputs are open collector current sinking to the
common ground. An external power supply must be used to provide DC power to any relays. If driving inductive
loads, place a voltage suppression diode across the relay coil.
•The maximum voltage on the relay driver outputs is 24 VDC.
•Each digital output can sink up to 100 mA for the purpose of controlling the relay coil.
•The digital input expects a dry contact, such as a switch or even just a jumper wire.
•There is one common ground for all input and output connections.
•Ensure that the pull up voltage is sufcient for your relay. i.e. a 12 VDC relay needs 12 VDC, a 24 VDC relay
needs 24 VDC.
These units are bi-directional, they send and receive discrete information both directions. The discrete connection to the
device is made via the terminals labeled “Contact Closure Input” and “Contact Closure Output”. The fail state or alarm
condition on loss of communications can be set to “off” (default) or “hold last value” for these channels independent of any
other units in the system. The following diagrams illustrate the output drive circuit connection for a discrete unit and an
example test circuit.
