The Set Operation Menu the menu should appear:
The Operation Mode option is used to designate the method in which the particular Wireless I/O Extender will be used.
The radio operates in a master, remote, or repeater mode. The radio modems that are intended to operate together must
be set up as such.
Note:The other settings are discussed further in Appendix D.
(0) Point to Point Master
•Call Book Based System, with one master and one remote.
•The remote must be set to mode (1) and have the master call book number entered in the call book section from
the main menu.
(1) Point to Point Slave
•Call Book Based System, with one master and one remote.
•The master must be set to mode (0) and have the remote call book number entered in the call book section from
the main menu.
(2) Point to MultiPoint Master
•Used in a system with one or more remotes, the master broadcasts and the packets are received at all the
remotes.
•The system can be setup as call book or Network ID.
•The remotes must be set to mode (3) or (7).
(3) Point to MultiPoint Slave
•Used in a system with a Multipoint Master.
•The call book number or Network ID of the master must be set in the remotes.
•The master must be set to mode (2).
