Cleaning Procedures
To avoid damage to the device surfaces, do not use the following
cleaning agents:
organic solvents,
acetone solution,
alcohol-based cleaning agents,
Betadine solution,
a wax containing cleaning substance, or
abrasive cleaning agents.
Recommended cleaning supplies:
sodium hypochlorite bleach, (diluted), or
mild soap and water
lint-free cloth
dust remover (compressed air)
To clean the exterior:
Dampen a lint-free cloth with one of the recommended cleaning
solutions. Wring excess moisture from the cloth. Wipe the
device exterior. Dry the surfaces with a lint free cloth. Clean the
display screen with lens tissue.
Do not drip any liquid into open vents, plugs, or
connectors. Cleaning agents must be diluted before
use.
The pager’s display screen is more sensitive to rough handling,
scratches and breakage than the other outside surfaces of the
device. Be careful, especially when cleaning the screen surface
and replacing the battery.
