Beat Labels
Beat classification labels define the beat. If the features match the reference, then the new beat
is classified as NORMAL, or dominant. If they do not match, then the beat is classified as
aberrant normal or ventricular. If an abnormal beat is seen repeatedly then it is sent on for fur-
ther analysis. Beat classifications must precede rhythm classification.

After beat classification is completed, the rhythm is then classified by the algorithm. The algo-
rithm looks at the beat classifications of the most recent beats and compares the sequences
with sequences stored in the monitors memory.
Rhythms are classified as sequence related or normal or dominant. See Table 5.

A Premature Normal or Premature Supraventricular Ectopic (SVE)
V Premature Ventricular Ectopic (PVC)
X Not Classified Due to Bad Samples (RF drop out) in QRS Region
? Unknown (Noise or First Occurrence of PVC Morphology)
