This fireplace is designed to be used with any of the following vent systems without the use of an additional
adaptor. Refer to the vent systems manufacturer's installation manual for complete installation instructions.
Installation must conform with the venting requirements and restrictions as outlined in this manual.
APPROVED VENTING:
Simpson Dura-Vent DV-PRO 5” x 8” direct vent system (horizontal and vertical terminations).
Simpson Dura-Vent 8” x 6-5/8” Decreaser (used with Simpson Dura-Vent direct vent system only).
Selkirk Metalbestos 5” x 8” direct vent chimney system (horizontal and vertical terminations).
Kozy Heat #800 series flexible vent system (horizontal terminations).
IMPORTANT: KOZY HEAT WALL THIMBLE PASS-THRU (#800-WPT) MUST BE USED ON ALL
HORIZONTAL VENT RUNS WHEN USING 5” x 8” VENTING.

IF USING DURA-VENT 8” x 6-5/8” DECREASER FOLLOW VENT PIPE MANUFACTURER‟S
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THEIR WALL THIMBLE.
IMPORTANT: Consult the local and national in-
stallation codes to assure adequate combustion and
ventilation air is available.

IMPORTANT: Flame height and appearance will vary depending upon venting configuration and type of
fuel used. Venting requirements apply to both Natural and LP gas.
HORIZONTAL TERMINATIONS (5” X 8”)
MINIMUM: 90° elbow + 6” (152 mm) horizontal + termination cap. (Horizontal Vent Heat Shield required).
MAXIMUM: 90° elbow + 30 ft. (9.14 m)* + termination cap.
* Horizontal terminations over 25 ft. (7.62 m) must use stainless steel pipe for the entire length of termination.
HORIZONTAL TERMINATIONS (with 8” x 6-5/8” Decreaser)
MINIMUM: 2 ft. (610 mm) vertical + Decreaser + 90° elbow + 6” (152 mm) horizontal + termination cap.
MAXIMUM: 2 ft (61 mm) vertical + Decreaser + 90° elbow + 30 ft.* (9.14 m) horizontal + termination cap.
* Horizontal terminations over 25 ft. (7.62 m) must use stainless steel pipe for the entire length of termination.
IMPORTANT: THE HORIZONTAL HEAT SHIELD INCLUDED WITH THIS FIREPLACE MUST BE
INSTALLED WHEN USING A 90-DEGREE ELBOW TO HORIZONTALLY POSITION THE VENT
SYSTEM. THIS INCLUDES ANY CORNER INSTALLATION.
