FCC RF EXPOSURE INFORMATION
In August 1996 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States with its action in
Report and Order FCC 96-326 adopted an updated safety standard for human exposure to radio
frequency (RF) electromagnetic energy emitted by FCC regulated transmitters. Those guidelines are
consistent with the safety standard previously set by both U.S. and international standards bodies. The
design of this device complies with the FCC guidelines and these international standards.
Use only the supplied or an approved antenna. See below for detail. Unauthorised antennas,
modifications, or attachments could impair call quality, damage the phone, and will result in violation of
FCC regulations and will void the FCC ID.
Modifications not approved by the manufacturer or use of any non-authorized wireless card may result
in violation of FCC regulations and may void the Users authority to operate the equipment.
This device contains a transmitter, RIM MOBITEX 902M, that has been tested and certified for
FCC RF exposure compliance. This device has been tested and complies with FCC RF exposure
compliance requirements.
This product can only be used in Canada and USA. This device has not been tested to comply with
any other international standards bodies

Installation of
the antenna
Install the antenna by screwing it on the antenna connector.
Do not over-tight
Replacement of
the antenna
Use only the supplied or an approved antenna(s). Unauthorised antennas,
modifications, or attachments could impair call quality, damage the phone, or
result in violation of FCC regulations.
Be sure to replace the antenna with the appropriate one.
