FOR BINOCULARS
SETTING THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE EYES
• Hold your binocular with both hands and look
through the eyepieces.
• Move the binocular at the prisms in such a way
that you see a circle in the fi eld of vision.
FOCUSSING/DIOPTRE SETTING
• Close the right eye and adjust the picture by
turning the centre wheel (1). The picture should
look clear and sharp to the left eye.
• Now close the left eye. Turn the dioptre setting (2)
until the object becomes clear and sharp. Note
this setting for future observations.
FOR EYEGLASS WEARERS
• Eyeglass wearers can either retract (3) or twist up
(4) the eyecups (depending on model) for a wider
eld of view and more comfortable observation.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF BINOCULARS
1 When the binocular is not in use always cover the lenses and eyepieces
with the protective caps (if supplied). Store the binocular in the supplied
bag.
2 To clean the lenses and eyepieces use a soft and lint-less cleaning cloth.To remove
stubborn dirt slightly damp the cleaning cloth with a special lens cleaning fl uid (never
apply the fl uid directly onto the lenses or eyepieces).
3 Store the binocular in a dry and dust free place.
4 Do not attempt disassemble the binocular yourself for cleaning or repair. Please
contact your local dealer or service agent.
CAUTION
Never look through the binocular directly into the sun – risk of eye injury or blindness!
