9. TALKBACK REMOTE (FOOTSWITCH NOT INCLUDED)
Feature: Using a footswitch, communicate with the talent via the built in talkback mic directly into their
headphones.
Benefit: Avoid figuring out a separate means of communication to the artist (i.e. complicated mic setups)
Keep it quick, easy, and simple, and stop reaching for the tb switch.
Operation: Click and hold down the talkback remote pedal (not included) to activate this function. Then
starting at the minimum, gently increase the volume utilizing the level knob until the sweet spot
is achieved.
Tip: , Utilize a TRS balanced 1/4” plug for this jack. Closing the ring to the tip activates the Talkback
function of D-Box. Ask for a “normally open, momentary footswitch” at your local audio dealer.
10. ANALOG INPUT
Feature: The analog input provides an alternative analog input source.
Benefit: Connect all sorts of devices here! Samplers, synths, drum machines, an iPod, virtual instruments,
a Sound Effects Library or two track editor fed from an alternative computer output.
Tip:
, Plugging in a submixer to this input allows all the aformentioned devices simultaneous connection.
Tip: , Either +4dBu or -10dBV analog devices may be utilized (see: setup mode).
11. SUMMING INPUT
Feature: Connect a DB25 connector here from the analog line outputs of your audio interface.
Benefit: Simple, elegant, common connector that is found on many other pieces of gear and patchbays.
