Determine if external equalization is required.
Note! External equalization is always required if
a distributor is used or if there is an appreciable
dierence in pressure (>8 psi ) from the valve
outlet to the bulb location.
Finally, determine connection sizes, then nd the
valve´s code number from the tables on
page 4 - 6.
Select a thermostatic charge.
Danfoss oers a universal wide range
thermostatic charge, Range N, suited for most
applications in the normal temperature range.
Ranges NM and B are available for special low
temperature applications.

Use the calculated valve capacity (2.56 TR) to
select the corresponding orice size from the
capacity table for R407C as indicated below.
Note that the expansion valve capacity must
be equal to or slightly more than the corrected
evaporator capacity.
In this sizing example, orice 9 will be suitable.
