Remote mounted operator 013G8564 is factory congured for use with an RA 2000 valve. Also supplied with the operator is
another socket body containing a spring that is required for the operator to be used on an RA valve with this adapter.
The following steps show how to remove the spring and utilize it for this application.
1) Remote Mounted Operator 013G8564
Remove bellows holder from RA 2000 socket body (Socket base has an Allen screw) by
pushing in slightly and turning counter clockwise.
2) With a screwdriver, remove the spring from the RA2000 socket body.
The removed spring can be discarded.
3) In a similar manner remove the spring from the extra socket body included with
013G8564 (socket base has a metal band).
4) Install the spring removed in Step 3 into the RA2000 socket.
(This spring is stiffer than the one removed in Step 2)
5) Reinstall bellows holder by pushing all the way and turning clockwise.
6) Mount the RA2000 socket body onto the RA adapter and tighten the socket body to the
adapter with the Allen screw.
