Important Safety Information READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape wire for the electrical current. ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
Installation Instructions NOTES: • This appliance is intended for FREE-STANDING INSTALLATION ONLY, and is NOT intended to be built-in. • Before connecting this appliance to electrical power supply, leave it to stand for approx. 24 hours, which will reduce the possibility of malfunction in the cooling system due to transport handling. • This appliance is approved for INDOOR USE ONLY and is NOT intended for outdoor operation.
Installation Instructions DOOR REVERSAL INSTRUCTIONS 10) Remove the left door stop and screw for the freezer door from the accessory bag and attach it to the handle (see Figure 3 on following page) Note: The left door and the right door stop of the freezer door are different. 13) Assemble the parts for the top hinge (see Top Hinge graphic Figure 8). Do not tighten screws completely. 14) Line up the doors so that the bottom of the freezer door aligns evenly with the top of the refrigerator door.

Operating Instructions TEMPERATURE CONTROL • There is a temperature digital display panel in the fresh compartment (See Fig.2.). Digits in the upper line are celsius temperature, while dig its in the bottom line are fahrenheit. • Press the “Subtraction sign” or ”Plus sign” to reach the needed temperature. • The first time you turn the unit on, please select 2°C/36°F and let the unit run for at least 2 hours before putting foods inside.
Care and Maintenance COOLING SYSTEM This refrigerator is equipped with a “Frost Free” type cooling system, which means you never have to defrost the freezer compartment. Defrosting is done automatically by means of a defrost heating element and a defrost timer factory-programmed to operate (cycle) approximately every 8 hours. The defrost water is routed into a defrost pan located directly above the compressor, where it then evaporates.
Troubleshooting Occasionally, a problem may arise that is minor in nature, and a service call may not be necessary. Use this troubleshooting guide for a possible solution. If the unit continues to operate improperly, call an authorized service depot or Danby’s Toll Free Number 1-800-263-2629 for assistance. PROBLEM 1) Unit does not work. 2) Refrigerator running too frequently. 3) Internal Temperature too cold. 4) Internal Temperature not cold enough. 5) Freezer not cold enough. 6) Light will not work.

Operación CONTROL DE TEMPERATURA • Hay un panel digital de temperatura en el compartimiento principal del refrigerador (vea la Fig.10.). Los dígitos de la línea superior indican la temperatura en grados centígrados y los de la línea inferior, en grados Fahrenheit. • Oprima el “signo menos” o el “signo más” para llegar a la temperatura deseada. • La primera vez que encienda la unidad, seleccione 2°C/36°F y deje la unidad en funcionamiento durante 2 horas antes de meter alimentos.
Cuidado y Mantenimiento SISTEME DE REFRIGERACIÓN Este refrigerador incluye un sistema de enfriamiento ‘libre de escarcha’, lo cual significa que nunca tendra que descongelar el compartimiento del freezer. La descongelación se lleva a cabo de manera automatica por medio de un elemento calentador y un cronometro de descongelación que viene programado de fábrica y opera en ciclos de alrededor de 8 horas. El agua descongelada cae en una bandeja ubicada directament sobre el compressor y alli se evapora.
Solucion Sugerida Con frecuencia, los probelmas no son muy importantes, y es posible que no se requiera unallamada de servicio, use la guia para la resolucion de problemas para tratar de encontrar una posible solución.
