Completing Setup of the Music System
To continue setting up the Music System (sensing mic or submix):
1. On the Dugan’s Channel Pane, activate the music button on the desired
channels.
The music tab will appear on the Master Pane when at least one channel
is assigned to the Music System.
2. Click the music tab on the right margin of the Master Pane to open the Mu-
sic System panel.
A column of controls appears for each group with at least one active music
channel.
3. Enter the Dante channel number that you chose to use for the music sys-
tem threshold channel input for that group.
4. If the meter is set to NOM gain limiting, click the title to toggle it to music
system threshold.
5. Start with the music system threshold control(s) set to 0 dB (default).
6. On the Channel Pane, start with all channel thresh controls at 0 dB (de-
fault).
7. Activate the auto buttons for all channels in use, and the mute buttons for
unused channels.
8. On each channel, activate the preset button adjacent to the selected mode.
This preserves your mode settings when the unit is powered off and on.
9. For each group, set the music system threshold control so the auto mix gain
for each affected input channel hovers around -15 dB.
See page 29 to learn how to enter values.
If all the channel auto mix gain displays stay at full gain, the threshold sig-
nal is missing or too low.
10. Fine tune individual channels using their thresh controls so the auto mix
gain display stays close to -15 dB.
To close the Music System pane on an iPad, swipe it to the right.
