Channels Setup Screen
This screen lets you choose the desired number of AES and ADAT Channels and the Sync
source to use with this device.

Back Panel Switches
The NORM-SLAVE and AES-ADAT switches display the modes set by their respective back
panel switches (see Model E-3A Modes on page 23) and cannot be changed from this
screen.
Automix Channels
In AES mode:
1. Navigate to AES Channels.
2. Turn the knob to select 8–16 channels.
3. By turning the knob past 16, you can add 8 or 16 ADAT channels.
In ADAT mode:
1. Navigate to ADAT Channels.
2. Turn the knob to select 8 or 16 channels.
To increase the number of mirrored channels, activate Disable Linking. Note that using
16 ADAT channels automatically disables linking.
Reset to Default
Activating this button sets the Automix Channels to 16 AES or 8 ADAT, depending on
the mode.
