Chapter 5: Connecting to a Computer
There are two ways to connect the Model E-3A to your computer so you can use the
Dugan Control Panel:
• to your computer via a local area network (LAN).
If you are already connected to a LAN, we recommend using it.
- OR -
• directly to your computer with a single cable.
In either case you will need these two Java applets located on the thumb drive
shipped with the Model E-3A:
• The Dugan Utility helps you set an IP address.
It is also used to update the firmware (see Chapter 10: Updates).
• The Dugan Control Panel offers convenient monitoring and operational capabilities.
If you do not have the thumb drive, download the latest files from:
http://www.dandugan.com/downloads
Use a computer to complete your connection before using the iPad app.
