Dugan Model E-3A User Guide Installation
22
The Model E-3A provides the following connectors:
• AES 1–8, AES 9–16
These two DB-25 connectors each carry eight balanced AES I/O channels, and are
wired with the Tascam pinout (see Appendix A: Connector Pinouts).
When the unit is powered off, bypass relays connect all AES input pairs to their
respective output pairs. This lets you turn off the unit while allowing AES through-
put without unpatching.
• AUD IN/OUT 1–8
These ADAT connectors carry eight channels of audio I/O.
• LINK IN/OUT or AUD IN/OUT 9–16
These ADAT connectors carry proprietary linking data. They can also be re-assigned
as eight additional audio channels.
• WORD CLOCK IN, WORD CLOCK OUT
These carry word clock signals in and out.
• 10/100BASE-T
Three Ethernet connectors (one accepts PoE). For your convenience, these connect
to an internal network switch.
• Power
Locking coaxial connector accepts 12–24 VDC.
