Setting the Video Mode and Displaying a Test
Pattern
Use the test pattern to verify the proper timing and connections between the camera and
the framegrabber.
The test patterns are:
• With 8 bit data, each tap has two ramps from 0 to 255 starting with pixel 1.
• With 10 bit data, each tap has two ramps from 0 to 255 starting with pixel 1 with a
unique offset for each tap.
Tap 1 offset is 0 DN
Tap 2 offset is 256 DN
Tap 3 offset is 512 DN
Tap 4 offset is 768 DN
To set the video mode, use the command:

Generate a test pattern
End-of-line Sequence
To further aid debugging, the camera can generate an end-of-line sequence. The end-of-
line sequence outputs “aa”, “55”, “line counter”, “line average”, “pixels above threshold”,
and “pixels below threshold”.
To activate or deactivate the end-of-line sequence, use the command:

Deactivate the end-of-line sequence.
