63 Test Operation
3.3.3 Setting of Refrigerant Recovery Mode
When carrying out the refrigerant collection on site, fully open the respective expansion valves
of indoor and outdoor units
Both the outdoor unit and the indoor unit cannot be operated at this time.
[Operation procedure]
 In setting mode 2 with units in stop mode, set Refrigerant Recovery / Vacuuming mode
to ON. The respective expansion valve of indoor and outdoor units are fully opened. (H2P
turns to display TEST OPERATION (blinks), TEST OPERATION and UNDER
CENTRALIZED CONTROL are displayed on the remote controller, and the operation is
prohibited.
 Collect the refrigerant using a refrigerant recovery unit. (See the instruction attached to the
refrigerant recovery unit for more detail.)
 Press Mode button BS1 once and reset Setting Mode 2.
3.3.4 Setting of Vacuuming Mode
In order to perform vacuuming operation at site, fully open the expansion valves of indoor and
outdoor units to turn on some solenoid valves.
Both the outdoor unit and the indoor unit cannot be operated at this time.
[Operating procedure]
 With Setting Mode 2 while the unit stops, set Refrigerant recovery / Vacuuming mode to
ON. The expansion valves of indoor and outdoor units fully open and some of solenoid
valves open.
(H2P blinks to indicate the test operation, and the remote controller displays TEST
OPERATION and UNDER CENTRALIZED CONTROL, thus prohibiting operation.)
After setting, do not cancel Setting Mode 2 until completion of Vacuuming operation.
 Use the vacuum pump to perform vacuuming operation.
 Press Mode button BS1 once and reset Setting Mode 2.
