High temperature of
compressor head
To troubleshoot, proceed as follows:
Open the stop
valve(s).
No

Compressor head temperature > 120 °C
or
Discharge superheat > 55 °C
Check the stop
valves.
Are they
open?
Is
it clogged?
Is the
refrigerant filled to
the proper level?
Fill to specified
level
No
Check the
refrigerant piping
circuit.
Check the
refrigerant level.
Check the
compressor.
Is it
malfunctioning?
Replace
compressor.
Check expansion
valve and
discharge pipe
thermistor.
Yes
Replace clogged
part.
Yes
