> Using the hex key, turn the tensioning pulley
clockwise (in the direction of the arrow).
> The pointer of the tensioning pulley must be
flush with the recess in the base plate (8.1).
> The nut of the tensioning pulley must not
turn while this is being done (8.2).
> Tighten the nut of the tensioning pulley (8.2).
> Brace the camshaft sprocket
counterclockwise to maintain pretension (use
the arrester).
> Tighten the screw(s) on the camshaft
sprocket (4.2) (fig. 4).
> Tighten the screw(s) on the high-pressure
pump sprocket (3.2) (fig. 3).
> Remove locking pins on the high-pressure
pump sprocket and on the camshaft sprocket
(3.1 + 4.1) (figs. 3 + 4).
> Remove crankshaft lock ring tool (fig. 2).
> Rotate the crankshaft twice in the direction
of engine rotation.
> Position the crankshaft right before the
TDC of the first cylinder.
