Turning the system on or off
1 Start the engine to turn on the system.
2 When a safety warning appears, read it and tap “I
agree.”
Tap the Language to change your language.
The system will turn off automatically when the
engine is stopped and a certain period of time passes;
the system will immediately turn off when the driver’s
side door is open.
 When the engine is stopped, the system may
turn off immediately depending on the
vehicle model or specifications.
 When the engine is started and stopped again,
the system will turn on by the mode and
settings used when the engine has started.
 For safety reasons, the video screen is not
visible while driving. Watch the video after
the vehicle stops. For a vehicle with manual
transmission watch videos after applying
the parking brake, and for a self-shifter,
after shifting the vehicle to P (parking) or
applying the parking brake.
 In addition to watching videos, there are
functions that are not performed while
driving for safety reasons. These functions
work normally only when the vehicle is
stopped. Use the functions after the vehicle
stops.
 If the system malfunctions, such as no screen
or no sound, stop using it. Continued use in
malfunctioning states can cause fire,
electric shock, or fatal failure.
 Even when the ignition switch is in the
“ACC” or “ON” position, the system can be
powered on, but the battery may be
discharged if the system is used for a long
time without starting the engine. To use the
system for a long time, start the engine.
 If the engine is stopped and the system is
used, a battery warning message will
appear. When starting the engine, the
battery warning message will disappear.
Note
Adjust the system volume appropriately before
stopping the engine, to prevent sudden loud audio
sound when starting the engine. On the home
screen, you can also set the volume to be
automatically reduced by tapping All Menus ▶
Settings ▶ Sound ▶ System Volume ▶ Reduce the
Audio Volume Automatically.

Operating the touch screen
Press and hold the [PWR] button on the control
panel to turn off the screen and sound when the
system is not in use while the vehicle is
running. Press the [PWR] button to use the
system again.
