Pairing to an Android smartphone via
Android Auto
To use Android Auto, check the following first:
Check whether your Android smartphone supports
Apple Carplay
Check the countries, device types, and models that
support Android Auto on the Android homepage
(https://www.android.com/auto).
Install the Android Auto application on your
smartphone
Download and install the Android Auto application
from the Google Play store.
Follow the steps below to start Android Auto:
1 Tap All menus ▶ Settings ▶ Device connections
▶ Android Auto ▶ Android Auto to activate the
function from the home screen.
2 Connect the smartphone to the vehicle’s USB port
using the USB cable provided when purchasing the
smartphone.
 When you connect it for the first time, a
notification window will appear on the
system screen, then check the contents and
tap OK.
Caution
Do not repeat the action of connecting and
disconnecting the USB connector for a short period
of time. Doing so may cause errors in the device
operation, the system may malfunction.
3 If your smartphone is locked, unlock it and agree
to the use of phone projection.
 When the smartphone is recognized normally,
the Android Auto menu will appear on the
home screen.
