Using the phone projection
With the phone projection function, you can run and
control applications on your Android smartphone or
iPhone using the system’s wide screen and convenient
user interface.
Caution
It is recommended to use the genuine USB
cable provided by the mobile phone
manufacturer. If a non-genuine USB cable is
used, the function may not work properly or
the system may malfunction.
Use only applications that support phone
projection. If you use an application that does
not support phone projection, it may cause
problems with the system or smartphone.
Only applications that support phone
projection are displayed on the phone
projection screen. For applications that
support phone projection, check the following
website.

Pairing to an iPhone via Apple CarPlay
To use Apple Carplay, check the following first:
Check whether your iPhone supports Apple
Carplay
Check the iPhone models that support Apple
Carplay on the Apple website
(https://www.apple.com/kr/ios/carplay).
Activate or update Apple Carplay and Siri on
your iPhone
Make sure the Apple Carplay and Siri functions are
turned on in your iPhone’s settings. If you don’t
have them, please update to the latest iOS version.
Follow these steps to start Apple Carplay.
1 Tap All menus ▶ Settings ▶ Device connections
▶ Apple Carplay ▶ Apple Carplay to activate the
function from the home screen.
2 Connect the iPhone to the vehicle’s USB port
using the USB cable provided when purchasing the
iPhone.
When you connect it for the first time, a
notification window will appear on the
system screen, then check the contents and
tap OK.
Caution
Do not repeat the action of connecting and
disconnecting the USB connector for a short period
of time. Doing so may cause errors in the device
operation, the system may malfunction.
