Planning the Installation WARNING • Follow all codes and ordinances during planning/installation. Contact your local building department for details. • To avoid an electric shock hazard, the power supply must meet the specifications below. The owner shall ensure the electrical service meets requirements and that the outlet is installed by a licensed electrician. The range must be grounded per local codes, or in their absence, per the National Electrical Code, ANSI/ NFPA 70.

Planning the Installation Cabinet Layout • All maximum/minimum dimensions and clearances in the diagrams below must be maintained for safe operation. • Install the range away from drafts, and include a hood or approved downdraft. • For safety’s sake, do not install cabinets above the range; otherwise, install a hood that extends 5” or more past the cabinet face. • The range may be installed against the rear wall.
Installation Instructions Preparing for Installation WARNING • If the home utilities do not meet product specifications, delay the installation until the proper services are installed by qualified personnel. • Install the anti-tip bracket before you install the range. Installing Rear Trim If installing the range in the self-rimming configuration, or if the range will be used with a downdraft, install the rear trim piece first.
Installation Instructions Attaching the Bracket to a Wood Floor Screws If hard flooring covers the wood, drill pilot holes to expose the wood below, then drill the mounting holes. Use the right drill bit for the surface. Having drilled the pilot holes: 1. Drill 4 mounting holes into the wood with a 1/16” drill bit (for #8 screws) or a 1/8” bit (for #12 screws). 2. Position the anti-tip bracket holes over the holes in the floor. 3. Thread the screws into the wood, and tighten them.
Installation Instructions 5. Place the bracket against the wall in the mounting location. Using a 1/8” bit, drill four 1-5/8” deep pilot holes perpendicular to the screw-seating surfaces shown below. Attach the bracket to the wall as shown with the included #12 x 1-3/4 screws. Catch Drywall Wall Stud Retaining Arm Base Plate 3. 4. Close the oven door three-quarters shut (see below). Grasp each side of the door just below the handle, and pull the door away from the oven.
Installation Instructions Connecting the Gas Finalizing the Anti-Tip Installation WARNING • Close the gas-supply valve and unplug the range before you connect the gas line. • Do not overtighten the gas connections/fittings. • Do not use Teflon tape or plumber’s putty on flex line connections. • (LP installations) The LP gas tank must have its own highpressure regulator (in addition to the pressure regulator provided with the range).
Installation Instructions Reinstalling the Oven Door Installing the Burner Knobs WARNING WARNING To avoid personal injury or property damage: • Make sure that the notch on the bottom of each oven door hinge locks inside the receptacle before opening the door. • Lock the hinges by flipping the top of the receptacle latch toward the door immediately after the door is installed. The mating mechanism that holds the door in place is the door hinge with a notch that locks into the oven receptacle.
Installation Instructions Assembling the Cooktop WARNING Do not use the cooktop unless all burner components and grates are properly in place. • The range uses standard and SimmerSear burners. • Use porcelain or brass burner caps as you prefer. • When assembling the burners, rotate/adjust each part until it seats securely in place for proper function. • Gently set the grates in the spill tray so the feet of each grate rest in their corresponding dimples formed into the spill tray.
Installation Instructions Verifying Proper Function Moving the Range for Service Before using the range, read the User Manual completely.
