malfunctions, before calling for service, review the tables in this section for
a possible resolution.

You smell gas.

he burner knob is not in
the OFF position and the
burner is not lit.
Turn the burner knob to OFF.
There is a gas leak.
• Clear the room/building/area or
occupants.
• Immediately call your gas supplier
from a neighbor’s home; your own
phone may spark the gas; follow
the gas supplier’s instructions.
• If you cannot reach your gas
supplier, call the fire department.
