(NiMH)
batteries
which are not memory sensitive and do not require depletion
before recharging.
When the battery is running low in the transmitter, the back-
light will flash
15
times for
5
seconds to alert you of this sta-
tus. The collar unit will flash its red LED
3
times every 2 sec-
onds when its battery is low.
The batteries come partially charged from the factory, but will
require a full charge before the
fnst use (12 hours).
Remember to always keep batteries away from open flames.
When storing the unit for extended periods, remember to regu-
larly give the batteries
a
full charge (12 hours). This should be
done once every
4
to
6
weeks.
Excessive overcharging can shorten battery life. Never leave
the batteries plugged in for more than 12 hours at
a
time.
Batterv Charging Procedure
1.
Turn the unit
OFF.
2.
Plug the charger into a
standard electrical outlet.
3.
Plug the transmittter
andor collar(s) into the
charger. You can charge
them either separately or
simultaneously.
4.
Charge the collar battery for up to 12 hours. Charge the trans-
mitter battery until the battery status blinks on the LCD display.
5.
When charging is complete, disconnect the charging cables
from the receptacles and securely replace the rubber battery
receptacle covers.
6.
Test your unit to ensure that everything is working properly.
