Certificates
Some applications use security certificates to ensure secure
communications. Security certificates are issued by certificate
authorities, and they are valid for a prescribed period of time.
Windows CE.NET manages multiple certificate stores.
1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Double-tap to run Certificates.
3. In the Stores tab, select the certificate store to view or
modify from the drop-down list.
My Certificates: contains your personal certificates to
identify yourself.
Other Authorities: intermediate certificate authorities that
help establish a chain of trust.
Trusted Authorities: lists the top-level certificates.
4. To add a certificate or associated private key to the selected
store, tap Import and select the way to import certificate or
key. You can select from file or from a smart card.
5. To view more details of the selected certificate such as the
extension name or expiration date, tap View.
6. To delete the selected certificates from the store, tap Remove.
