Connecting to Your Desktop PC Using the
USB Sync Cable or Docking Cradle
Connect your DOT 400 to a desktop PC using the USB sync cable or
docking cradle. USB Driver will be installed automatically. Then, The
synchronization between your device and the desktop PC will start
after establishing a partnership. The following table shows the
available communication devices (USB, serial, infrared) according to
Operating Systems.

Follow the procedures below to connect between the desktop PC and
DOT 400 using the USB sync cable:
1. Connect the USB sync cable to the USB port of the desktop PC.
2. Connect the 24-pin connector of the other end to DOT 400.
Docking Cradle
Follow the procedures below to connect between the desktop PC and
DOT 400 using the docking cradle:
1. Connect the DC plug from the battery charger to the DC jack on
the cradle, and plug the battery charger into an electrical outlet.
2. Connect the USB cable from the cradle to a USB port on your
desktop PC.
3. Slide your DOT 400 into the cradle. The connection program of
DOT 400 and Microsoft ActiveSync of the desktop PC will start
automatically for their connection,
4. USB driver will be installed automatically, Otherwise You should
install USB driver manually referring to Install USB driver Part.
5. The New Partnership Wizard will appear on your desktop PC
to help you set up a partnership. The set up method is explained
