Installing ActiveSync 3.5
ActiveSync 3.5 must be installed on your PC to synchronize between
DOT 400 and your PC. Microsoft ActiveSync 3.5 is included in the
bundled CD-ROM which comes with DOT 400. And you can also
download it from
http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/activesync35.asp.
If you want to use ActiveSync 3.7 or the higher version of it, you can
download it from the Microsoft Web Site site.
System Requirements
To install ActiveSync 3.5, your PC must meet the following minimum
requirements:
1. OS: Microsoft Windows XP/2000/ME/98, or Windows NT Workstation
4.0 SP6 or higher
2. Application: In order to synchronize DOT 400 with a desktop or
notebook for E-mail, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes, you must
have Microsoft Outlook 98 or higher (Outlook 2002 recommended).
3. Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 SP1 or higher
4. Hard Disk: More than 65 MB available hard-disk space (actually
required space varies based on the selection of features and user’s
current system configuration)
5. Communication Port: Available 9 or 25-pin communication port
(adapter required for 25-pin communication port), infrared port, or
USB port (available for Windows 98/Me/2000/ XP only)
6. Graphics Card: VGA graphics card or compatible video graphics
adapter with 256 colors or higher
7. Keyboard
8. Microsoft mouse or compatible input device
9. CD-ROM drive
DOT 400 PDA supports the connection using USB. Therefore, for
synchronization, it supports Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP only,
not Windows 95.
