3. Getting to Start
This chapter describes how to use DOT 400 for the first time.
Follow the steps below:
1. Click Reset Button: When using your DOT 400 for the first time,
the battery is disconnected. Tapping the Reset button with the stylus
pen automatically connects the battery to the device. In four or five
seconds, DOT 400 enters into Hardware Reset Mode and loads
images in Flash ROM to SDRAM. The D.O.Tel company logo and
progress bar will start to appear. You can check the loading status
with this progress bar. After the image loaded, Calibration control
screen will apear.
2. Connect to the battery charger: Connect the battery charger to
the DC jack of your DOT 400, an orange LED light flashes. For your
safety, charge your DOT 400 until the LED light stays at orange. It
takes approximately three hours to charge DOT 400 fully when its
battery is empty. You can still use your DOT 400 while charging
You may lose all data and files if the battery is completely discharged. To
avoid losing data, you must prevent the battery from being completely
discharged, using the Power Saving Mode. If the notification LED blinks
red, or the Battery Low message appears in the display, charge the
battery with the battery charger before using the device.
