Press: A short press (click) for about 1 second
Press-and-hold: A long press for about 4 to 5 seconds
Power Button: To save the battery power while you are not
having any task with your DOT 400, press the Power button
quickly. DOT 400 shifts to the Sleep Mode and the LCD screen
becomes off. Pressing the power button again turns DOT 400 back
in the normal operation mode. (when a password is registered,
the password window will pop up, and the main screen can be
displayed only when the password is correctly entered).
Pressing-and-holding the Power button will turn off the LCD
backlight of DOT 400. Press-and-hold the power button again to
turn the LCD backlight on.
Voice Record Button: Press the Voice Record button to run
Notes or record voices and sounds. Pressing Voice Record button
once will run Notes. To proceed with recording voices or sounds,
press Voice Record button again while Notes is running. To stop
recording, press the Voice Record button again.
Jog Dial: The functions of Jog Dial consist of the Scroll-up, Scroll-
down, and Enter function. You can navigate between the icons on
the desktop with the Scroll-up/down button and select the
highlighted icon (or item). The Jog Dial is also used to control
volume in the voice recorder and Windows Media Player.
Navigation Button: The Navigation button consists of Up, Down,
Left, Right navigation. You can select an icon or item on the
desktop and navigate within a document by pressing the
Navigation button.
Cancel Button: The Cancel button functions just like the Esc key
in a PC. You can use this button to close programs currently in use
or undo earlier executions.
