Chapter 7: Upgrading the firmware

Note: The TVR 10’s on-screen display will not provide any status indication prior to
rebooting.
Setting up the wftp32 FTP server
This section describes how to configure your FTP server.
To set up the wftp32 FTP server:
1. Start the wftp32 program.
2. Display the User/Rights Security screen by clicking Security and User/Rights.
3. Set the user and its rights.
a. Click New User.
b. Create a user named “target” and set its password.
c. Choose the target user in the User Name list.
d. Enter the path where the firmware is placed in the Home Directory box, and
then click Done to finish the configuration.
An example of the completed screen is shown below.
Upgrading using the FTP server
To upgrade using the FTP server:
1. Display the Utilities screen of the main menu.
2. Display the Firmware upgrade screen.
3. Select the FTP upgrade mode.
4. Enter the FTP Server’s IP Address (The IP of the computer where wfp32 runs) and
click anywhere in the screen to confirm. The TVR 10 will connect to the FTP server
