Configuring via Web-based Interface
You can specify the following parameters:
Parameter Description
IP for checks (1), (2)
In these fields specify IP addresses from external network, which will
be checked for availability. The system uses the results of these checks
to define whether the main connection is active.
Time
A time interval (in seconds) between availability checks of the IP
addresses specified in the IP for checks (1) and IP for checks (2)
fields.
Watch route
The route corresponding to the reserve channel. The default value
represents the external network (the Internet). You can also define a
specific network in the format 192.168.62.0/24.
Connection type (1)
The main channel. Select a value from the drop-down list:
ether: The WAN interface.
pptp: A PPTP interface created on the Net > P-t-p interfaces page.
pppoe: A PPPoE interface created on the Net > P-t-p interfaces
page.
wimax: The connection established via your WiMAX USB modem.
3g: The connection established via your GSM or CDMA USB
modem.
Connection type (2)
The reserve channel. Select a value from the drop-down list:
ether: The WAN interface.
pptp: A PPTP interface created on the Net > P-t-p interfaces page.
pppoe: A PPPoE interface created on the Net > P-t-p interfaces
page.
wimax: The connection established via your WiMAX USB modem.
3g: The connection established via your GSM or CDMA USB
modem.
Selecting a value from the Connection type (1) and Connection type (2) drop-down lists,
make sure that the relevant interfaces are enabled and configured as needed.
Click the Change button.
To disable reservation of an additional channel, deselect the Reservation checkbox and click the
Change button.
