Configuring via Web-based Interface
On this page, you can change the following parameters:
Parameter Description
IP address
The IP address assigned to the interface (the following IP address is set
for the LAN interface by default – 192.168.0.1).
Mask
The subnet mask (the following mask is set for the LAN interface by
default – 255.255.255.0).
MTU
The maximum transmission unit in the interface. Optional.
MAC-address
A MAC address assigned to the interface. Optional for the LAN and
WIMAX interfaces.
For the WAN interface this parameter is mandatory, if your ISP uses
MAC address binding. In the field, enter the MAC address registered
by your ISP upon concluding the agreement. You can click the Client
MAC-address button (displayed for the WAN interface only) to set
the MAC address of the network interface card (of the computer that is
being used to configure the router at the moment) as the MAC address
of the WAN interface.
Metric
The metric for the interface. Allows assigning a priority for the
interface. The lower the value, the higher is the interface priority.
Optional.
Default gateway
The IP address of the default gateway. Sets the address for routing
packets to external networks (applicable for the WAN interface only).
Optional.
Start
Select a radio button to enable or disable the interface auto-start upon
the boot-up of the router.
Click the Save&Reboot button (on the page for configuring the LAN interface) or the Change
button (on the page for configuring the WAN and WIMAX interfaces).
