Section 6 - Troubleshooting
The Web browser shows a blank page instead of the PC-on-TV Software Installation Screen?
The blank page indicates that the browser is not pointing to a web site. To change this:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Select Tools > Internet Options > General tab.
3. In the Home Page box, enter any URL (e.g., www.dlinktv.com).
4. Close the browser and re-launch it. If you do not wish to set a home page, enter any URL into the address
bar and press ENTER.
Also ensure that the DNS is set to DHCP on the computer and within the browser.
The download application software does not load, takes a long time to load, or shows “Page Not Found error.
If the WiFi network is slow and there are retries (the percentage or bar chart completion status is changed from high
to low), cancel the download operation and reset your computer and the PC-on-TV device.
Additionally, check the following:
1. Open the DOS window (click Start -> Run ).
2. Ping the PC-on-TV device’s default IP address at 10.0.0.1 by typing the following at the DOS prompt:
ping 10.0.0.1
If there is a response, go back to the browser and reload the page. The download page should display.
If there is no response, use the ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) command to resolve this IP address
in the PC network table. Execute the following command at the DOS prompt:
ARP -D
