Conguring DWL-8220AP Access Points
Restarting an AP
To restart an access point, use the following command:
reset {ap port-list | dap dap-num}
Use the reset ap command to reset an access point congured on an AP access port. Use
the reset dap command to reset a Distributed AP.
When you enter one of these commands, the access point drops all sessions and reboots.
Caution: Restarting a DWL-8220AP access point can cause data loss for users who are
currently associated with the AP.
Displaying AP Information
You can display the following AP information:
AP and radio-specic conguration settings
List of Distributed APs that are not congured on a switch
• Connection information for Distributed APs
Service prole information
Radio prole information
• Status information
• Statistics counters
Displaying AP Conguration Information
To display conguration information, use the following commands:
show ap cong [port-list [radio {1 | 2}]]
show dap cong [dap-num [radio {1 | 2}]]
The command lists information separately for each access point.
To display conguration information for an access point on DWS-1008 port 2, type the
following command:
DWS-1008# show ap cong 2
