Conguring DWL-8220AP Access Points
Changing the Fallthru Authentication Type
By default, MSS denies access to users who do not match an 802.1X or MAC authentication
rule, and therefore fall through these authentication types. You can change the fallthru method
to last-resort.
To change the fallthru method, use the following command:
set service-prole name auth-fallthru {last-resort | none}
Conguring a Radio Prole
A radio prole is a set of parameters that apply to multiple radios. You can easily assign
conguration parameters to many radios by conguring a prole and assigning the prole to
the radios.
To congure a radio prole:
Create a new prole.
Change radio parameters.
Map the radio prole to one or more service proles.
The channel number, transmit power, and external antenna type are unique to each radio and
are not controlled by radio proles.
Creating a New Prole
To create a radio prole, use the following command:
set radio-prole name [mode {enable | disable}]
Specify a name of up to 16 alphanumeric characters. Do not include the mode enable or
mode disable option.
After you create the radio prole, you can use the enable and disable options to enable or
disable all radios that use the prole. To congure a new radio prole named rp1, type the
following command:
DWS-1008# set radio-prole rp1
success: change accepted.
To assign the prole to one or more radios, use the set ap radio radio-prole command.
Changing Radio Parameters
To change individual parameters controlled by a radio prole, use the commands described
in the following sections.
Note: You must disable all radios that are using a radio prole before you can change
parameters in the prole.
