Conguring DWL-8220AP Access Points
Changing the Fallthru Authentication Type
By default, MSS denies access to users who do not match an 802.1X or MAC authentication
rule, and therefore fall through these authentication types. You can change the fallthru method
to last-resort.
To change the fallthru method, use the following command:
set service-prole name auth-fallthru {last-resort | none}
Conguring a Radio Prole
A radio prole is a set of parameters that apply to multiple radios. You can easily assign
conguration parameters to many radios by conguring a prole and assigning the prole to
the radios.
To congure a radio prole:
• Create a new prole.
• Change radio parameters.
• Map the radio prole to one or more service proles.
The channel number, transmit power, and external antenna type are unique to each radio and
are not controlled by radio proles.
Creating a New Prole
To create a radio prole, use the following command:
set radio-prole name [mode {enable | disable}]
Specify a name of up to 16 alphanumeric characters. Do not include the mode enable or
mode disable option.
After you create the radio prole, you can use the enable and disable options to enable or
disable all radios that use the prole. To congure a new radio prole named rp1, type the
following command:
DWS-1008# set radio-prole rp1
success: change accepted.
To assign the prole to one or more radios, use the set ap radio radio-prole command.
Changing Radio Parameters
To change individual parameters controlled by a radio prole, use the commands described
in the following sections.
Note: You must disable all radios that are using a radio prole before you can change
parameters in the prole.
